Jessica Hedrick Art for Sale and Sold Prices

From an early age Jessica has had a passion for art and enjoyed the challenge of expressing her world views to others. Her talents thrived growing up under the mentorship of her father, Ron Hedrick. In her high school years, Jessica spent an inspiring workshop with Gordon Applebee Smith, a notable Canadian artist. Several years later she studied art at the University College of the Fraser Valley under Bruce Paschak who taught her to enjoy the creative process and to expand her concepts of art.

After college she has enjoyed trips to Italy and France, studying their magnificent historical pieces of art that triggered her to pursue painting full time and committed her to developing her talents to the fullest extent. When she returned from Europe Jessica joined the collection of artists, The Stave Falls Artist Group, in the outskirts of Mission, BC. Through the group she has studied under Paul Chizik an internationally renowned master artist of the Barbizon school of realist painters.

Jessica has developed her style, inspired primarily by the French, Russian, and American Impressionists. She mostly paints from life, whether it be models in the studio, outdoor painting amongst the mountains, or still-life. Her style incorporates a sincerity of light and colour with loose brushwork, while trying to explain to the viewer what exactly she was inspired by in the work.
