Friedrich B. Henkel Art for Sale and Sold Prices

Friedrich B. Henkel studied from 1953 to 1956 at the College of Applied Arts Leipzig in the Department of Plastics and from 1956 to 1958 at the Art Academy Berlin-Weissensee with Theo Balden and Waldemar Grzimek, Department of Plastics. In the years 1958 to 1959 Henkel was an employee in the workshop of Waldemar Grzimek. Among other things, he worked on the realization of the memorial group for the former Sachsenhausen concentration camp. During this time, Henkel met the sculptors Richard Scheibe and Gerhard Marcks during a studio visit to Grzimek's studio. In 1966 he began studying master classes with Fritz Cremer, which he completed in 1969. In 1969, a one-year assistant at the Kunsthochschule Berlin Weißensee, Department of Plastics followed. From 1970 Henkel worked freelance as a sculptor and graphic artist in Berlin. From 1978 to 1980 Henkel had a teaching assignment at the Kunsthochschule Berlin-Weißensee, Department of Plastics. Henkel works as a sculptor, draftsman and graphic designer.

Friedrich B.
