(diese etwas berieben und bestoßen, kleinere Bezugschäden, verso mit Wasserfleck außen). Von größter Seltenheit, kein Exemplar im internationalen Handel für uns nachweisbar. Lipperheide Kaa 33 (dort unvollständig). - Thieme/B. III, 332. - Nicht bei Colas. - Vollständiger Tafelteil der seltenen, prächtigen Porträtfolge des russischen Kaiserhauses. Unbeschnittenes und breitrandiges Exemplar. Das seltene Album mit Porträts der wichtigsten russischen Monarchen und ihrer Ehefrauen, von Michael I. (1596-1645), dem Begründer der Romanow-Dynastie, bis zu Großfürst Michael Pawlowitsch (1798-1849). Benner nutzte wahrscheinlich seinen Aufenthalt in St. Petersburg am Hof von Alexander I., um diese Porträts anzufertigen. - Es fehlt lediglich die 2 Bll. Titel in Russ. u. Französ. sowie das russ. u. französ. Subskribentenverzeichnis (11 Bll.). Der gedruckte Umschlagtitel in Russisch und Deutsch. Die Tafeln je auf Russisch und Französisch bedruckt. - Teils alt hinterlegte Einrisse, kleinere Defekte, minimal fleckig, die Bildflächen meist sehr wohlerhalten. - Sehr selten. Russia - Tsarist family. - Series of 24 engraved portrait plates by Mécou et al. after H. Benner. Of greatest rarity, no copy traceable for us in international trade. Loose boards in printed original cardboard portfolio. (these somewhat rubbed and bumped, minor cover damage, with water stain on verso).Folio. Lipperheide Kaa 33 (incomplete there). - Thieme/B. III, 332. - Not in Colas. - Complete plate part of the rare, splendid series of portraits of the Russian imperial family. Untrimmed copy with wide margins. The rare album with portraits of the most important Russian monarchs and their wives, from Michael I. (1596-1645), the founder of the Romanov dynasty, to Grand Duke Michael Pavlovich (1798-1849). Benner probably used his stay in St. Petersburg at the court of Alexander I. to make these portraits. - Only the 2 ll. title in Russian and French as well as the Russian and French list of subscribers (11 ll.). The printed cover title in Russian and German. The plates printed in Russian and French. - Partly old backed tears, minor defects, minimally stained, the image areas mostly in very good condition. - Very rare. *

Woodcut illustrations in the text, 160 photographic plates outside the text, papers in beards, vol.11 is missing with the author's life and analytical repertoire, contemporary binding in hazelnut half leather with gold corners and fillets, marbled plates, back with 5 nerves embossed in gold with double gusset, few small defects. Ex libris nobiliare on the counterplate.
