    NACKTE BACCHANTIN AUF EINEM PANTHERFELL Öl auf Leinwand. 52 x 80 cm. Links unten signiert und undeutlich datiert. Das Gemälde greift das antike Bacchus-Thema auf. Die Mänade liegt trunken auf dem Fell eines Panthers, Attribut des Weingottes, der gemäß der Legende von einer Pantherin genährt wurde. Am Boden eine geleerte Weinamphore zwischen Trauben. Im dunklen Hintergrund zwischen Weinranken antikes Gemäuer erkennbar. Henry debütierte 1842 im Pariser Salon, stellte u. a. in Bordeaux aus, darunter historische und dekorative Werke und fertigte Malereien etwa im Palais des Marquis de Talhouet in Versailles.     Nicolas Henry Jeaurat de Bertry, attr., Interieur rechts oben schwer erkennbar monogrammiert und datiert J. d. B. 1780, Öl auf Malkarton, rückseitig alt in Tusche bezeichnet sowie mit Ausfuhrstempel versehen, Arrangement mit Samurai-Helm, Jagdhorn, Büchern und Renaissance-Kanne, im Hintergrund ein Damenportrait, feine lasierende Malerei mit schönen Lichtreflexen, gerahmt, IM 18 x13 cm. Künstlerinfo: Nicolas Henry Jeaurat de Bertry (1728 bis ca. 1796), in Paris geboren, lernte bei seinem Onkel Étienne Jeaurat, Professor an der königlichen Akademie und Leiter der königlichen Kunstsammlung in Versailles, er wurde 1756 mit zwei Stillleben als Aufnahmestücke in die Académie Royale aufgenommen und spezialisierte sich auf diese Bildgattung, obgleich sich auch Stadtansichten und Genreszenen in seinem Œuvre finden, ab 1761 als Hofmaler am Versailler Hof tätig und den Titel des "Peintre de la Reine" trägt. Artist's info: Nicolas Henry Jeaurat de Bertry (1728 to ca. 1796), born in Paris, studied under his uncle Étienne Jeaurat, professor at the Royal Academy and head of the royal art collection in Versailles, he was admitted to the Académie Royale in 1756 with two still lifes as admission pieces and specialised in this genre of painting, although city views and genre scenes can also be found in his œuvre, from 1761 he worked as a court painter at the Versailles court and bore the title of "Peintre de la Reine".

    Old master painting "Still life with pot, cooking utensils and fish " NICOLAS HENRY JEAURAT DE BERTRY A Parisian painter who stood out especially for his still lifes, although at the end of his career he also cultivated landscapes and portraits. He belonged to a later generation of Jean-Baptiste-Siméon Chardin (1699 - 1779), who influenced him greatly in his work, especially in his earlier compositions with elements of cooking like this. He was a disciple of Etienne Jeaurat and a member of the Académie Royale de Peinture et de Sculpture since 1756. In 1761 he was appointed painter to Queen Mary Leszczyńska, consort of Louis XV, settling in Versailles until his death. Attached is a certificate from Eric Turquin dated 1998 Oil on canvas
