"With grateful thanks for all his help" S[ankey]" to front free endpaper, bookplate of Edward Jackson Barron to front pastedown, contemporary calf, sympathetically rebacked, extremities rubbed, 8vo, printed by the Assignees of Richard and Edward Atkins, 1680. ⁂ With a distinguished legal provenance, inscribed from the Lord Chancellor of Great Britain, John Sankey, 1st Viscount Sankey (1866-1948), formerly the most senior member of the judiciary in the country, to the Master of the Rolls, Ernest Pollock, 1st Viscount Hanworth (1861-1936), formerly the most senior judge of the civil division, as a gift of thanks 1934.

    A tunic as seen worn by Richard Burton in the role of "King Henry VIII" in the historical drama film Anne of the Thousand Days (Universal Pictures, 1969). The tan suede tunic bears a Nathans and Berman tag to the interior and comes with an Angels Costumiers tag attached that reads: "Richard Burton / Anne of the Thousand Days." It features gold-tone cord trim and period-correct finestrella sleeves with intricate hand-cut details. The garment can be seen being worn by Burton as he walks with "Anne Boleyn" (Geneveive Bujold) in the castle gardens. The film and Margaret Furse won an Academy Award for Best Costume Design, the only award it won at the ceremony, though it was nominated for nine others.

Revs: short voided cross and quatrefoils respectively with +REINAVD.ON.CA, +ROBERD.ON.CAN and +ROGERONCANT legends for the moneyers Reinaud, Roberd and Roger at Canterbury mint. S. 1348B/S.1356A; N. 968-2/N. 978C. 69 grams total (coins 1.13, 1.09, 1.43 grams), photographs 17 x 8.5cm. Property of a Kent, UK collector; ex R Dalton, Littlebourne, UK collection; loaned to and exhibited at Canterbury Cathedral. These coins, together with other coins connected with Canterbury, were exhibited at Canterbury Cathedral under the title 'Minting at Canterbury' and were loaned by Mr R. Dalton of Littlebourne; the original enlarged display photographs and descriptive cards are included with this lot (although two of these are for coins given to Hiun and Nichole and were obviously left in place when the coins of Roberd and Roger were later exchanged into the display) and digital images in-situ within the complete exhibition frame are also available.
