    oil on panel circa 1817 30 in. by 24 ½ in. together with a fraktur family record of the Opdycke family: watercolor and ink on paper height 15 ½ in. by width 12 ¾ in. the top register with a sun in center inscribed THE Family GENEALOGY, flanked by two trumpet blowing angels above inscribed banners Amwell Township, Hunterdon County, above the inscription Samuel Opdycke son of John and Margaret Opdycke born 13th, May 1747. Susannah Roebson Daughtr of Joseph and Hannah Roebson born 11th, June 1753. Samuel Opdycke and Susannah Roebson Married the 7th, Decembr, 1775., above freestanding columns with perched peacocks, jumping dogs, and spread-winged phoenix around the words Children of the Above Couple / Hannah Opdycke, was born 21st, June 1777. John Roebson Opdycke born 5th, March 1779. Margaret Opdycke born 5th, Jany. 1781. Mary Opdycke was born, 17th, Decr., 1782. Anne Opdycke was born 26th, Jany, 1785.; with classical inspired drawn tiles creating the border, including women supporting basket of harvested fruit overhead, seated women picking grapes with a fox, and sphynxes on a grassy lawn; the lower register with the family coat of arms of Mr. Joseph Roebson, with motto PEACE and PLENTY.     After James Herring Hand-Colored Restrike Engravings from the Original Plates. Complete set of four, EX+/Near Mint condition engraving, never framed, hung or displayed. As bright and vibrant as the day created. Circa 2nd half/4th quarter of the 20th century. Unframed, loose and not mounted or glued down. Measure 17 inches x 28 inches plate size and 23 inches x 33.75 inches sheet size. If lot is absent of a condition report a condition report may be requested via email. Condition report is provided as an opinion only and is no guarantee as grading can be subjective.
