Condition: 3 small paint losses in upper right, one along frame edge at top center, otherwise very good.

      'Bowl Of Flowers with Fan, Pearls, and Jewelry Box'. Pastel on paper laid to canvas. Apparently unsigned. Herter was best known for her delicate floral still life painting. She studied art in Paris at the Academie Julian, and while in Paris met fellow artist, Albert Herter (1871-1950). The couple married in New York in 1893. As a working couple and separately, they achieved much prominence as painters and wall-decorating muralists. Property of a Yonkers, NY estate.
