    Edward Shepard Hewitt (New York, Connecticut 1877 - 1962) etching. Signed by artist in pencil lower right. Title 'Three Tugs' in pencil lower left of sheet. Measures 5.5-in. x 12.5-in. image size, 10.5-in. x 15.75-in. sheet size. In G/G+ condition, with toning, tape residue and smudges. Unframed, loose and not mounted or glued down. If lot is absent of a condition report a condition report may be requested via email. Condition report is provided as an opinion only and is no guarantee as grading can be subjective. Buyer must view photographs or scans to assist in determining condition and ask further questions if so desired. Provenance: Amity Art Foundation, Inc. collection. Lomasney who is the grandson of the artist and indicates that the painting was descended to him from Ellen Fales Hewitt, his mother. Housed in a fine carved wood and gilt modern frame with linen liner. SIZE: 20" x 16". CONDITION: Relined, very good. 9-97337
