William H. Muller Hewitt Sold at Auction Prices

b. 1848 - d. 1921

Landscape painter. Born in Backwell, Somerset, England, the son of English landscape painter Henry Hewitt (1818-1879) and his wife, Eliza Ann Hewitt (b. 1826). The family resided in Bristol, Gloucestershire, England for many years. While not specifically known, it is likely that he had his earliest training at the hands of his father. Muller-Hewitt was known for his watercolor sketches of the English countryside.
