    A collection of 4 London verge pocket watches in multiple cases A rare London verge pocket watch in a triple case Movm. No. 3845, Case No. 3845, Dimensions 56 mm, circa 1765, Weight 139 g, Origin England Case: Protective case - silver, applied leather with stud decoration. Outer and inner case - silver, smooth, case maker's punch mark "TL" with star above (possibly Thomas Layton of London), movement protection cap. Dial: Enamel. Movm.: Fine full plate movement, chain/fusee, five-arm brass balance. According to Brian Loomes, Robert Higgs worked at Sweetings Alley in 1743; he later formed a partnership with Evans and also with Peter Higgs around 1770. He was a member of the Clockmakers‘ Company from 1750 to 1769.
