Mike Hindle Art for Sale at Auction

Mike Hindle studied art in Farnham before moving to Cornwall to paint full time in 1992. He very quickly established a close affinity with the landscape of the county and has built a strong local following. Mike now works from a studio on the outskirts of Redruth.

Mike takes his inspiration from years of walking the coastline and moors of West Penwith. His paintings, like the landscape, have evolved over time. Colours are worked and re-worked; shapes are found and lost again. The energy of bold, uplifting tones is balanced by carefully considered composition. Many layers of paint are applied until a harmonious balance is achieved.

Mike’s paintings are exhibited throughout Cornwall and the West Country and are held in collections nationwide.
