    Laura Hoernig (Missouri / New Mexico, 1872-1957) Adobe Houses Circa 1920s The Southwest landscape by this Kansas City artist is signed and dated 1925 lower right front. An inscription on the stretcher reads: 'Adobe Houses, 2 figures - Pond, Trees (Reflexion Pool).' Laura Hoernig began traveling to Taos to paint as early as 1923. She exhibited at the Kansas City Art Institute and The Plaza Art Fair during the 1920s and 30s. Canvas measures 18 x 22 with a framed size of 22.5 x 26.5 inches.
