      divided into 6 compartments, each showing an Englishman threatening a diminutive Napoleon with a fate related to his occupation, the tailor to trim his shirts, the barber to lather his whiskers, the epicure to eat him, and others, original hand-coloured etching, 250 x 350mm., slight dampstaining, mostly marginal, [BM Satires 10055], 1803; Bonaparte getting a shaving in England, attributed to Thomas Rowlandson, a similarly defiant invasion print from September, 1803, John Bull as a barber fiercely gripping Napoleon's nose, gripping a jagged razor he has saved for his arrival, original hand-coloured etching, 350 x 245mm., slight surface dirt and minor handling creases, [not in BM Satires], 1803; with another, unattributed, caricature issued by Holland, Consular Coachmanship, 310 x 520mm., Starhemberg Schloss Eferding library stamp on verso, [not in Lugt], trimmed to image at sides, two tears into the image, [not in BM Satires], 1803 (3)

      a bull dancing in sailor's uniform to Rule Britannia, with Napoleon as a distraught bantam impaled on one of his horns, original hand-coloured etching, 345 x 245mm., trimmed to image and title, [BM Satires 10033], 1803; with a pirated Dublin copy in reverse, issued by McCleary § A Cock and Bull Story, attributed to Woodward, a proud French cockerel with the head of Napoleon, being barred from crossing a narrow channel by a recumbent bull, its head partially resembling George III, original hand-coloured etching, 255 x 315mm., trimmed on the platemark, [BM Satires 10035], [first issued by Piercy Roberts], Thomas Tegg, [1803, but date erased]; with 2 other zoomorphic representations of the British from June and July of 1803, A Gentle Salute from the British Lion, and The Lion and the Frog!! both anonymous, issued by Roberts and Holland, respectively, [neither in BM Satires], P. Roberts, and W. Holland, respectively, 1803 (5)
