        PAUL HORGAN

        Est: $300 - $400

PAUL HORGAN (1903-1995) American author, winner of the Harper's Prize for The Fault of Angels, and two-time Pulitzer Prize in History winner. A collection of three signed books, the first The Habit of Empire (Santa Fe: The Rydal Press, 1939), boldly inscribed on the half-title page to Mildred Dilling, signed twice. Spine detached, good. Along with his novel Far From Cibola (New York: Harpers, 1938), first edition, with a long inscription to Mildred Dilling on the first free endpaper, adding date 1940, and The Centuries of Santa Fe (New York: E. P. Dutton, 1957), first edition, signed on the first free endpaper. Along with nine small printed images of Horgan's drawings, each signed "Paul". A nice collection, very good.
