Private Collection, New York (acquired directly from the above in 1984). Exhibited “Lester G. Hornby,” Richard York Gallery, New York, March-April 1984, no.13. Literature Herbert Adams Gibbons, Paris Reborn: A Study in Civic Psychology, New York: Century Co., 1915, p.95 (illustrated). 1) Aux Ambassadeurs The paper is slightly toned and appears to be glued to board. Please note this work was not examined out of the frame, as all four corners are visible. Work appears to be unevenly trimmed along the right edge. One or two miniscule areas of slight discoloration along edges, including a small line along left edge near bottom. Largely good original condition. Also inscribed “In quest of the glamor” to piece of paper affixed to frame verso. 2) August Nights. In the Champs-Élysées The paper is slightly toned and appears to be glued to board. Please note this work was not examined out of the frame, as all four corners are visible. Pinprick hole visible at top right corner. In overall good original condition. Framed Dimensions: 20 1/8" x 16 1/8" x 7/8"
