Hula, dated 1930 provenance: private collection Vienna ESTIMATE € 500 - 1.000 STARTING PRICE € 500 The Austrian painter Hula studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna with Eugen Sturm-Skrla, whom he also portrayed. He was friends with Emil Beischläger, among others. After graduating, he worked as a freelance artist in Vienna (landscape, place life, genre, portrait). During the First World War he served as a first lieutenant, and from 1920 he was a civil servant and office colleague of Emil Beischläger. Hula was a member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus from July 18, 1946. His painting was characterized by its realism and precision. Hula remained artistically active during the Second World War. PLEASE NOTE: The purchase price consists of the highest bid plus the buyer's premium, sales tax and, if applicable, the fee of artists resale rights. In the case of normal taxation (marked °), a premium of 24% is added to the highest bid. The mandatory sales tax of 13%, for photographys 20%, is added to the sum of the highest bid and the buyer's premium. The buyer's premium amounts to 28% in case of differential taxation. The sales tax is included in the differential taxation.
