Hula, dated 1930 provenance: private collection Vienna ESTIMATE € 500 - 1.000 STARTING PRICE € 500 The Austrian painter Hula studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna with Eugen Sturm-Skrla, whom he also portrayed. He was friends with Emil Beischläger, among others. After graduating, he worked as a freelance artist in Vienna (landscape, place life, genre, portrait). During the First World War he served as a first lieutenant, and from 1920 he was a civil servant and office colleague of Emil Beischläger. Hula was a member of the Vienna Künstlerhaus from July 18, 1946. His painting was characterized by its realism and precision. Hula remained artistically active during the Second World War.
