Other Notes: Though he was born in England, Charles Humphriss devoted much of his artistic career to bronze works of Native Americans, focusing on figures in moments of worship. He felt strongly that he depict the Native Americans in a "more truthful" manner, not as the violent warriors as which they were so often characterized.
