Each of the photographs has a certificate of authenticity. Signed. Size: 20 x 25 cm (x4). Set of four Giclèe prints by the Golden Lion winning artist Anne Imhof. The edition contains four images of horses connected by a hand-drawn detail. Each painting is taken from her global exhibition YOUTH which was presented in Hong Kong, Seoul, London, New York, Los Angeles, Milan, Berlin and Tokyo. Each print is an edition of 250. Launched 3-28 February 2023 across a global network of screens, YOUTH first appeared on Asia's largest LED screen in Hong Kong, as well as being projected at Piccadilly Circus in London, Berlin, Milan, Los Angeles, New York, Seoul and Tokyo. Imhof is an artist who draws on cultural history, from Greek mythology to underground culture, while examining power dynamics. Regarding this series she said, "When I first saw these horses running through a deserted suburb, I was thinking: What if youth is freedom? What if youth is hope? What if youth is peace? A year later, watching them gallop around the world, the questions are still the same". Set in Moscow, Youth features a group of horses running and communing in a snow-covered open field. Some of the images in the series reveal a historic social housing estate on the outskirts of Moscow. Severnoye Chertanovo, which was built in the late 1960s, was developed as an experiment in mass housing after the Stalinist era. L Anne Imhof is a German-born visual artist, choreographer and performer who lives and works between Frankfurt and Paris.
