John (1968) Isaac Sold at Auction Prices

After graduation in zoology from Madras University in Chennai in India, John Isaac was sent as a messenger to work at the UN in New York. He became a photojournalist for the UN, a position that he held for 20 years. As a freelance photographer, he did portraits of celebrities, such as of Audrey Hepburn and Michael Jackson. More recently, he engaged in wildlife and travel photography. In 2008, he published the book ‘The Vale of Kashmir’ about the people and landscape of Kashmir. Isaac’s work has been honored with numerous awards, among those for example international awards by Kodak, Minolta and Nikon as well as the Photokina gold medal.
