    Original Oil on Artists Board by Lebrun Jenkins (American1876-1952). Yosemite view. From St. Louis, Missouri, Lebrun Jenkins was a St. Louis artist who studied with his stepfather, Francois Regnault. He worked as a commercial artist for the St. Louis Chronicle in the late 1890s. He exhibited at the Louisiana Purchase Expo, St. Louis World's Fair 1904 and was awarded a copyright for his "Emblem Louisiana Purchase Expo, St. Louis" in which he used a three- dimensional technique. In 1930, he did a painting titled California Coastline, obviously indicating that he traveled West. His work from the American West and Northwest, is considered by many to be his finest.
