        PATRICK H. JONES

        Est: $80 - $100

(1830 – 1900) Union brigadier general, twice injured, once at Chancellorsville which led to his capture and five-month imprisonment, and again during the Battle of Rocky Face Ridge. Jones led forces at Chancellorsville, Chattanooga, during the Atlanta and Carolinas Campaigns, and the March to the Sea. A.L.S., 6pp. 8vo., [n.p.], Oct. 6, 1892, explaining that he has no photos of himself at the close of the war but they could possibly be found at the Adjutant General's Office in Washington. Jones signs at the conclusion, and again on the sixth page adding his rank as brigadier general. Inlaid into 4to. stock. Very good.
