B4; information on him is located at the Frick Art Reference Library, NY; lived in a Rudolph Schindler-designed house at 3580 Multiview Drive, Studio City, California, built 1947; daughter is Muriel Kallis Steinberg who donated a David Smith sculpture to the Chicago Art Institute in memory of her father; designed movie posters and worked 1942-1957
