He moved to Taos, New Mexico in 1967 where he became an outstanding contemporary landscape artist, working in both acrylic and watercolor. His work has been exhibited by the American Watercolor Society, the Artists of America show, and the National Academy of Design. In addition to painting the natural environs of the American Southwest, and being honored as an invited artist in the "Rims and Ruins Exhibit - Paintings done at Mesa Verde National Park, Durango, Colorado" (2014) he has created plein air paintings in approximately twenty five countries.
