He first studied at the Fine Arts Academy in Katowice (1976-1978) and then at the Fine Arts Academy in Cracow (1979-1981). Since 1981, he lives and works in Paris. In 1981, he started experimenting with his own technique called “back to front”. It consists of pressing the acrylic paint through the blank canvas, starting from the reverse side. Depending on the angle of illumination and the nature of the light, differents forms (portraits, hands, monuments...) “appear/ disappear”.
