            A working draft manuscript entitled "A Sculptor in the Sunset Sand," Captain Edward Kemeys (Georgia, New York, 1843-1907), approximately 230 typed pages with many revisions, corrections and redactions both in pencil and ink, apparently not published, pages: approx 13"h, 8"w **Note: Kemy served during the Civil War in the New York 65th Volunteer Regiment enlisting at the age of 19 and later as a Captain in the U.S. Colored Heavy Artillery. He later became a bronze animalier sculptor and his work is seen in New York's Central Park, a sculpture "Hudson Bay Wolves" is seen at the Philadelphia, the monumental sculpture "Prayer for Rain" depicting a Native American with and elk and mountain lion found in the West Side Park, Champaign, Illinois, and others.** Start Price: $80.00
