He attended L'Ecole Nationale des Beaux Arts in Paris, L'Academie de la Grande Chaumie're and L'Academie Jullian. He continued his studies in painting, lithography and architecture in Belgium, Holland, Italy and Greece. While working in the atelier of George Visat, He developed a new approach to engraving. In 1971, he received an award to study contemporary engraving techniques in Geneva. Haim Kern's works have been shown throughout France at the Salon d'Automne, Salon de la Jeune Peinture, Galerie Drouant David, Galerie Vendome, Paris; Biennale de Conches and Galerie la dilane, Nantes.
