        A Belleek China figure of Erin otherwise titled "Erin Awakening from Her Slumbers", designed by H. William Boyden Kirk. Matt glazed. Representing the unveiling or introduction of Belleek Pottery to the world. Erin personifies Eire with shamrocks laced through her hair and she is unveiling the inscribed urn which symbolises Belleek Pottery. She is standing in strap sandals on the Belleek flagstone, with the waves of Lough Erne splashing at their feet, and there is a harp and Celtic cross behind her flowing gown. William Boyden Kirk a Dublin born sculptor designed and sculpted this wonderful allegorical piece for Belleek in the late 1860's.

        Worcester Parian Ware figural group of "Evangeline and Benedict" modeled by W. Boytnon Kirk (Irish, 1824-1900) ca. 1853, apparently unmarked, depicting the main figures in the Longfellow poem "Evangeline: A Tale of Acadie." 13" H x 13" W x 9" D (approx.) Note: William Boyton Kirk was born on 29 May 1824 in Dublin. He was the second son of the sculptor Thomas Kirk. He trained under his father, and then went on to study at the Dublin Society school in 1839. He entered Trinity College Dublin in 1845, but left without a degree.[2] He exhibited with the Royal Hibernian Academy (RHA) for the first time in 1844, becoming an associate member in 1850. Among his notable works is the figure of Justice on the Belfast courthouse. For Worcester china, he designed the "Shakespeare" dessert service which was exhibited at the Dublin Exhibition of 1853.
