Jean-Michel Kiwi Art for Sale at Auction

b. 1939 -

Jean-Michel KIWI

Painter born in Herstal in 1939 and active in Liège. Author of views of cities, streets, rivers, seascapes, and the mystery constantly renewed Venice becoming a postmodern theater during the carnival. Hyperrealistic style sometimes close to the trompe l'oeil. His production, characterized by a mastery of technique, is loaded with subtlety and emotions. The light, the colors, the well-defined outlines, the characters and above all the architectural views combine to give this grand impression of eternity that so permeates the viewer. 'A series of works of extreme finesse to which the research, the line and the color cleverly allied, give a stamp of genuine authenticity.' (E. Didden, La Cité) - 'It can be said that J.-MK is a classic and reliable value in the field where exaggerated, delirious and sometimes bad-minded fantasy is unfortunately commonplace. Despite the primary meaning of his name, the artist has wings that take him to the contemplation of natural and architectural beauties. (A. Georges, Vers l'Avenir) Participated in the exhibitions 'Arts in Europe' in Brussels in 1975 and 1981. Member of the Royal Circle of Fine Arts of Liège. Participates in the exhibitions of this circle since 1979. 'Two Centuries of Signatures of Artists of Belgium', Ed. Art in Belgium, Lasne - 'Artists & Galleries', Ed.
