Grey earthenware with light blue glaze and black interior Langenzersdorf, Austria, around 1912 Eduard Klablena (1881-1933) - Austrian ceramic artist Ground with impressed mark "LANGENZERSDORF 2" Interesting shape with corrugated relief Four Greek black and white glazed theater masks on the vase Height: 19 cm Very good condition This vase was made by Austrian ceramist Eduard Klablena. It was created in Langenzersdorf, around 1912. It is made of gray stoneware with a light-blue glazed exterior and black glazed interior. It possesses an unusual shape, with a bulbous base and a thinner, corrugated neck. The special thing about this vase is the four Greek theater masks, equidistantly applied to the circumference of the relief-chiseled body. These black and white glazed masks depict the continued interest in antique motifs, found repeatedly in Vienna and Munich Art Nouveau. The underside of the vase is marked "LANGENZERSDORF 2". It is 19 cm tall and in very good condition with minimal traces of age and wear.
