He attended the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna and the general painting school of Delug and Jettmar. From 1920 to 1938, he was a member of the Vienna Secession and then of the Vienna Künstlerhaus. He went on numerous study trips to Holland, Sweden and Italy. From 1914 to 1916, and again from 1928, he worked as a teacher and a inspector for art education. PLEASE NOTE: The purchase price consists of the highest bid plus the buyer's premium, sales tax and, if applicable, the fee of artists resale rights. In the case of normal taxation (marked ° at the estimate), a premium of 24% is added to the highest bid. The mandatory sales tax is added to the sum of the highest bid and the buyer's premium.
