The photo bears the stamp of the photographer's studio on the back and the stamp of "Mizrahit Photography Company For the press", light wear: light bends in the corners.

          Five photographs by the photographer Zoltan Kluger, showing views of Haifa and the Galilee, and Jericho Area - The first half of the 20th century. Photographs: the train, Haifa port, Safed, Kfar Nahum, and Jericho. The photographs are all signed on the back with an ink stamp of the "Oriental Society of Photography for the Press" (Photo Z. Kluger)". Zoltan Kluger [1896-1977], one of the most important photographers in Eretz Israel in the 1930s and 1940s. Immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1933 and together with Nachman Shifrin (Ben-Haim), opened the "Oriental Society of Photography for the Press", and soon became one of the leading photographers who Documented the renewed Eretz Israel, and the major events that led to the establishment of the State of Israel. Kluger also became the official photographer of Keren Hayesod. Same size: 29x23 cm. Very good condition.

          13 photographs by Zoltan Kluger, Eretz Israel, 1st half of the 20th century. Photographs documenting the returning of the Land of Israel to life - Hebrew workers in a weaving factory in Tel Aviv, a traffic policeman in Tel Aviv, photographs of plowing from the day of the aliyah in the village of Kish (1946), workers in a furniture factory, and more. The photographs are all signed on the back with the stamp "Oriental Photography Company for the Press (Photo Z. Kluger)". Some of the photographs are signed on the back with the Keren Hayesod stamp, and some are depicted in handwriting, pen or pencil. Zoltan Kluger (1896-1977), one of the most important photographers in Eretz Israel in the 1930s and 1940s. Immigrated to Eretz Israel in 1933 and, together with Nachman Shifrin (Ben-Haim), opened the "Oriental Society for Photography for the Press", and soon became one of the leading photographers who will Documented to the regenerating Eretz Israel, and the major events that led to the establishment of the State of Israel.           Collection of photographs taken by Zoltán Kluger. Various places in Palestine, [1930s to 1950s]. Most of the photographs in the collection are aerial photographs, taken in the late 1930s to the early years of the State of Israel, documenting various settlements and cities (many of them still in their early stages of development, with just a few houses and unpaved roads). The photographed sites include: Nahalal, Ein HaHoresh, Kefar Vitkin, Kibbutz Amir, the Tiberias transit camp, the Yokneam transit camp, the seashore of Tel-Aviv, the Dizengoff Square in Tel-Aviv, and more. The collection also includes portrait photographs (a girl picking oranges in an orchard, a Jew in traditional attire blowing the Shofar, and more), photographs of buildings and views and three photomontages. Most of the photographs are stamped on verso with the photographer's stamps ("Orient Press Photo Co.") and some are captioned by hand. Several photographs are mounted on paper and captioned on printed notes. Approx. 110 photographs. Size and condition vary (some of the photographs are especially large, approx. 40X30 cm.). Good overall condition.

Photos include: residents of Tel Aviv listening to the news at the entrance to the "Philips Radio" store during World War II; meeting of the veteran workers of the "Arza" sanatorium near Jerusalem; three portraits of Jewish youth; three photos of an agricultural landscape; and more. On the reverse of the photographs is the ink stamp: "The Orient Press Photo Company [Photo Z. Kluger]"; a censor's stamp prohibiting publication appears on the reverse of one photograph. Size and condition change. Average size ca. 16X11 cm, good overall condition.

Commissioned by Zalman Schocken and gifted by him to friends and well-wishers on the occasion of his 60th birthday. Jerusalem, September 1938.Each photograph mounted on cardboard with a descriptive label in German on the reverse. The photographs, contained in their original cloth-covered box, show The Old City in Jerusalem, Mount Scopus, the Hebrew University, Tel-Aviv, Haifa Port, Rishon LeZion, Kfar Yehezkel, Moshav Beit-Yossef, Kfar Nahum [Capernaum] and the Jordan River near Jericho. Included are two pages, one with a list of the photographs and the second (missing and provided in facsimile) with a printed greeting from Schocken. Size of each photo 28.5x23cm. Good condition.
