Much research is done through travel, books and visiting museums on themes, gear and trappings for his paintings, and in most cases he uses actual locations for backgrounds. Art is a member of Western Heritage Artists, and has been invited to or juried into most of the finest Western and Wildlife shows. His works are now found throughout this country and Canada, Germany, England and Australia. He has worked with the Elk Foundation of the Rockies.
