Bernd Koberling (* 4 November 1938 in Berlin ) is a German painters of the Neue Wilde.
Koberling graduated from 1955-1958 trained as a chef and practiced this profession until 1968. From 1958 to 1960 he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Berlin with Max Kaus . Together with Karl Horst Hödicke 1961 he was a member of the group vision. In the years 1961 to 1963 was followed by a stay in England. From 1969 to 1970 he held a scholarship from the Villa Massimo in Rome. Then he held until 1974 in Cologne. In the years 1976 to 1981, he took a lectureship in Hamburg , Dusseldorf and Berlin . Thereto joined from 1981 to 1988 a professor at the University of Fine Arts Hamburg on. Since 1988 he has been a professor at the University of the Arts Berlin .

In May 2012, Koberling was a new member of the Academy of Arts in Berlin appointed, whose election he accepted. An active membership requires that artists participate actively in the tasks of the Academy, so he will show future continued presence in the academy. [1]
