OBroschur (wasserfleckig, stark lädiert, Rücken brüchig, VDeckelgelenk mit 10 cm Einriss) mit typographischem Text auf Rücken und Deckeln). München und Leipzig, Georg Müller, (1912). -- Raabe 62, 3. Wilpert-Gühring 2. – Erste Ausgabe. Ehrenstein (1886-1950) kam nach seiner Promotion im Jahr 1910 von Wien nach Berlin und gehörte dort zum Kreis der Zeitschrift 'Der Sturm'. Während des Ersten Weltkriegs war er kurze Zeit Lektor im Kurt Wolff Verlag. Seit 1932 in Brissago lebend, siedelte er 1941 nach New York über, wo der Verfasser des grandiosen Tubutsch (1911) verarmt und vergessen starb. Mit drei (davon eine signiert) Original-Zeichnungen (in blauem Stift) von Bohuslav Kokoschka auf Vortiteln der Kapitel "Der Selbstmord eines Katers", "Begräbnis" und "Zigeuner". Dargestellt sind der Protagonist mit seiner Katze, die Trauergäste und der Protagonist neben der "Frau des Toneks". – Schnitt stockfleckig, teils unbeschnitten. Mit Besitzvermerk (Alexander Sturm) auf dem Vortitel.

He was also a writer as well as Kokoschka. Together with Carl Hofer and Bohuslav’s brother Oskar Kokoschka, Gütersloh was a member of the artist group Neukunstgruppefounded by Egon Schiele. Condition: The painting is in good age-appropriate condition. The canvas is relined. Occasionally some retouching around the head and above the right hand becomes visible under UV light. Otherwise generally of good impression. The image dimensions are 79 x 52.5 cm, frame dimensions 93 x 66 cm. Bohuslav Kokoschka (1892-1976) Born in Vienna, Bohuslav Kokoschka is the 6 years younger brother of the painter Oskar Kokoschka. He was a writer, painter and graphic artist of the expressionist art movement. During his military service, he began to write novels and prose. In 1919 he exhibited in the gallery Miethke which soon became a center for contemporary art. During the Second World War, Bohuslav, as next of kin to Oskar Kokoschka, also had to yield to the political pressure and was defamed as a ‘degenerate’ artist. In this painting he depicts the portrait of Prof. Albert Paris Gütersloh, whose real name was Albert Conrad Kiehtreiber and who is regarded as one of the most important pioneers of Fantastic Realism in Vienna. The portrait of Albert Paris Gütersloh, who was active as well artistically as a painter and scene builder but also authorial and as a theater director, depicts the artist on the height of his fame as spiritual, creatively inspired man. Das Porträt zeigt Albert Paris Gütersloh, eigentlich Albert Conrad Kiehtreiber (1887-1973), den geistigen Vater der Wiener Schule des Fantastischen Realismus.
