Cartoon for The New Yorker, published April 6, 1968, page 31, with their stamps on verso. Pen, ink, and watercolor on paper. 200x285 mm; 7 3/4x11 inches (image); 8 3/4x11 3/4 inches (sight). Signed "Koren" in lower right image, and captioned in graphite below. Matted and placed in double-sided frame to display unrelated [crossed out] sketch on verso of sheet. Not removed from frame for inspection. A copy of the printed magazine accompanies the lot. The printed cartoon omits "Henry" and "John Jay" in the caption.

Included is a personalized message which reads "For Draper-Please accept these friends to speed you back to your accustomed self. Ed Koren" and is also dated "15 May 1992". The late Draper Hill was a political cartoonist from the Detroit News [1935-2009]. From the ex collection of Sarah and the estate of Draper Hill, Grosse Pointe, Michigan.
