Piotr Kotlicki (born on May 26, 1972 ) - Polish painter, author of films .

He is a graduate of the Academy of Fine Arts in Lódz . In 2000, he obtained a diploma in the studio of professor Ryszard Hunger , and in 2015 he received a doctoral degree. He is a lecturer at the State Film and Television School in Lodz .

The first individual exhibition of Piotr Kotlicki in Poland was an exhibition of paintings and photographs at the BWA in Piotrków Trybunalski [1] . They were mainly portraits. From that time on, she changed the subject of Kotlicki's work. Nowadays, apart from frequently occurring, full of life animalistic and plant forms, Piotr Kotlicki's paintings are characteristic due to their existential mood [2] . The artist refers to events and historical figures, as well as to news, enriching the painting form with the products of his own imagination. Inspired by the achievements of Zbigniew Rybczynski , Kotlicki, since 2011, he conducts his own experiments with a multipersonal image, i.e. one in which individual elements of the film image are not tied up by the camera's optics. Independent work in film is opened by the work from 2014 entitled "Hey, there in the valley." The author's assumption is the continuous expansion of this film until his death (each screening of the film is a different version of it) [3] .
