      Mary A. Kremelberg (American, 1875 - 1946), "Mother Holding her Baby," oil on panel, signed at upper right, inscribed on the verso, measures 8.50 x 6 inches unframed, overall 14 x 11.25 inches framed. CONDITION: Good, slight bow to panel. Kremelberg first studied in Baltimore at the Charcoal Club, under Mr. Edwin Whiteman. Later she went to the Academy of Fine Arts at Philadelphia, where she was a student of Raphael Chase and Miss Cecelia Beaux. From Philadelphia she went to Paris, where she studied under the guidance of Courtois, Collin and Humer.
