      Est: $160 - $200

FRIEDRICH WILHELM KRUGER (1894 - 1945) Nazi official and high-ranking member of the SA and the SS. Between 1939 and 1943 he was the Higher SS and Police Leader in the General Government in German-occupied Poland where he was responsible for eliminating rebellion in the extermination camps, setting up forced labor camps, used police and SS to deport Jews from Warsaw ghettos, undertook 'Aktion Erntefest', the so-called 'anti-partisan' fighting in the General Government, and drove out over 1,000,000 Polish farmers from the area around Zamosc. His black ink signature likely cut from a letter, signed beneath the exhortation 'Heil Hitler'. The left bears an untranslated annotation in green indelible pencil, with the date Sept. 1, 1942. Very good condition. Loosely pasted to a 160gm 8.5 x 11 in. card beneath his printed portrait in uniform.
