The temptation of St. Anthony is the theme of these masterpieces. My new work is a reinterpretation of this theme. I have replaced the old figures of St. Anthony with young, strong, seductive men. They are projected over the old masterpieces. The demons' attempts to seize and attack their sculpted bodies fail. Vincenzo Laera (b. 1966) Vincenzo Laera has been working in the fashion and beauty industry since the age of 16. His interest in photography was aroused by his collaborations with fashion photographers like Koto Bolofo (b. 1959). In 1987 he had the possibility to join the photographer's team of Helmut Newton (1920-2004), before he moved to New York in 1989. Here, he continued to collaborate with a number of famous photographers, including Irving Penn, Bert Stern and Annie Leibovitz. Laera lives and works in Berlin, today.
