While in Hungary, she studied at the Jaschik Academy and worked as a theater decorator, illustrator and designer, contributing to various Hungarian newspapers. After the second World War, she and her husband fled Hungary and settled in Paris, where she studied at the Acadí©mie de la Grande ChaumiíÂre and adopted oil as her medium of choice. In 1951 the Landoris emigrated to Canada and settled in Montreal, where Eva Landori would live out the rest of her life. There, she became best known as a printmaker. She returned to Paris to further her studies at the Atelier de Gravure Friedlander. On returning to Canada, she became a member of the Society of Canadian Painter-Etchers and Engravers (1961976) and the Canadian Society of Graphic Art (1972-1976), and subsequently the amalgamation of the two societies, the Print and Drawing Council of Canada.  Landon was instrumental in the organization of many Canadian exhibitions over the years, and her own work was widely exhibited through the nation. Her works are now on display in many public collections, including the Musee des Beaux-arts, Montreal; Musee du Quebec; Simon Fraser University; Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris; the Museum of Fine Arts, Budapest; and the Library of Congress, Washington. In 1980 she received a gold medal from the Accademia Italia delle Arti del Lavoro. She passed away in 1987.
