      Rhode Island, New York,1898-1987 Depicts a girl dressed in a striped shirt and blue shorts shielding her eyes from the sun on a crowded beach. Lawrence studied at the Rhode Island School of Design with Eliza Gardiner and A. Hibbard before teaching at the school herself. Lawrence was a member of the American Federation of Arts, the Providence Water Color Club and the Society of Independent Artists, New York.
