Tomasz Lazar (born in 1985 in Szczecin, Poland). Polish photographer. He graduated in computer science from the University of Technology of Szczecin. He studied photography at the European Academy of Photography in Warsaw. He has won photography competitions in Poland and abroad, including a Sony World Photography Award, Grand Press Photo, an International Photography Award, BZ WBK Press Photo, and he has been nominated in the Deeper Perspective Photographer of the Year category at the International Photography Award. His work has been published in magazines and newspapers worldwide, including The New York Times, Burn Magazine, Radiate Magazine, Pokochaj Fotografie, Rzeczpospolita, and Gazeta Wyborcza. He exhibited in Italy, Poland, France, USA, Spain and Germany. Winner of World Press Photo 2012 competition (2nd prize in the category “People in the News”) with the photography “Arrest of protesters in Harlem” from the series “United States of Debt”.
