Links unten sieht man die alten Badekabinen der Badeanstalt an der Seine, die in den 1920er Jahren abgebrannt sind und einen zweifelshaften Ruf als "Liebestreff" hatten, Öl/ Lw., 28 x 40 cm,verso zwei alte Aufkleber. Die Zuschreibung ist begründet, vgl. dazu Kat. Bd II des "Musée Petit Palais", Paris Nr. 524 Zum Künstler: Albert Marie Lebourg studierte Malerei an der Académie de Peinture et de Dessins in Rouen bei Gustave Morin. Im Jahr 1879 debütierte er auf der Impressionisten-Ausstellung neben Claude Monet, Alfred Sisley, Pierre-Auguste Renoir u. a. Seitdem nahm er mehrmals an den Impressionistenausstellungen teil. Seine Adressen in Paris waren von 1898 bis 1903 Rue de la Cage 16 und ab 1903 Quai du Havre 9, mit Sicht auf die Seine. Der Fluss erscheint in zahlreichen seiner Werke. The attribution is well-founded, cf. cat. Vol. II of the "Musée Petit Palais", Paris no. 524 About the artist: Albert Marie Lebourg studied painting at the Académie de Peinture et de Dessins in Rouen under Gustave Morin. In 1879, he made his debut at the Impressionist exhibition alongside Claude Monet, Alfred Sisley, Pierre-Auguste Renoir and others. Since then, he took part in the Impressionist exhibitions several times. His addresses in Paris from 1898 to 1903 were Rue de la Cage 16 and from 1903 Quai du Havre 9, with a view of the Seine. The river appears in many of his works.

Boats in front of quay wall and row of houses in glazed to impasto painting style and moving, sketchy color application, impressionistic in ductus and color palette. Inscribed in pencil on the reverse and inscribed: "Albert Charles Lebourg 1849-1928, mort a Rouen, Impressionisme". Plate 33 x 41 cm (Upper edge of the painting minor rubbed in the center and with a small missing part). LEBOURG, ALBERT CHARLES MARIE (Monfort-sur-Risle 1849-1928 Rouen) zugeschrieben, Gemälde: "Mediterraner Hafen", Öl auf Holz, unten rechts signiert "A. Lebourg". ALBERT MARIE LEBOURG (1849-1928) - Bords de Seine Bords de Seine Huile sur toile signée en bas à droite. Sans encadrement. Dimensions : 45 x 81 cm Peintre français impressionniste de figures, de paysages et de paysages animés né à Montfort-sur-Risle, il est également pastelliste et aquarelliste. Il s’initie auprès de l’architecte et dessinateur Drouin et se perfectionne ensuite avec le paysagiste rouannais Delamarre. Il reçoit également les conseils de Morin, directeur de l’Académie de Rouen et du coloriste lyonnais Jean Seignemarin. Lebourg débute en 1872 et se fait remarquer par un collectionneur qui lui paye un voyage de travail en Algérie. En 1876, il expose avec Claude Monet, Alfred Sisley et Pierre Renoir au Boulevard Montmartre. Sa palette s’éclaircit et ses participations aux Salons Impressionnistes de 1879 et 1880 consacrent définitivement son talent et sa réputation. Promu Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur, il expose également aux Artistes Français, à la Société Nationale des Beaux Arts et lors d’une exposition personnelle à Paris en 1818, il présentera plus de 250 œuvres. Albert Lebourg restera comme l’un des peintres impressionnistes modérés les plus appréciés de son époque. Principaux musées : Le Louvre, Musées Marmottan Monet et Musée d’Orsay Paris, l’Ermitage Saint-Pétersbourg, Musée National Tokyo, Art Institute Chicago, Phoenix Museum Arizona, Fine Arts San Francisco, Musées Royaux des Beaux Arts de Belgique, Musées de Rouen, Lyon, Douai, Aix-les-Bains, Sceaux, Toulouse.
