The consignor had an early love for Disney and their beloved characters. She was employed by both the Disney Company and Warner Brothers Galleries for several years handling animation art and sales of scarce collectible items. She worked directly with many of the artists involved in the production of artwork, studio film and television shows. Fine Condition Estimate: $200 Created by famed DC Comics cover artist and writer, Jim Lee, the work is a companion piece to the iconic “Knightwatch” work which featured Batman. “For Tomorrow” originally appeared as a cover for the Superman Adventures comic book series of the same name and utilizes many of Lee’s renowned stylistic cures. Lee, who at one time had studied to be a physician, demonstrates his acute knowledge of the anatomy in order to create some of the most physically imposing superheroes to date, while his cross-cut style of illustration, executed through minute lines in the character, gives an impression that Superman is in motion.
