Motivationsplakat Nummer 26 der Firma Mather & Company, Alleinvertriebshändler für Großbritannien und den Irischen Freistaat. - Die Plakate zur Arbeitsethik von Mather & Co. wurden in den 1920er Jahren vor allem in den USA und anderen englischsprachigen Ländern sehr populär: Arbeitgeber, die die Effizienz ihrer Firma verbessern und zudem die Aufmerksamkeit der Arbeitnehmer von den Gewerkschaften ablenken wollten, konnten bei Mather & Co. ein Abonnement der Plakate abschließen. Sie bedienten sich einprägsamer Slogans, Wortspiele und Metaphern sowie markanter Designs bekannter amerikanischer Künstler. Die Verkäufe und somit auch die Kampagne endeten jäh nach dem New Yorker Börsencrash und der sich anschließenden Weltwirtschaftskrise. - Blatt gebräunt und etwas lichtrandig, sowie gerollt, Ecken und Kanten berieben, die rechte untere Kante bis hin zur Ecke mit starken Randläsuren und Einrissen, teils mit kleinen Stockflecken, am oberen Rand doppelt gelocht.
