Annette Lemieux (b. 1957) Annette Lemieux was born in Norfolk, Virginia. After studying art at the Hartford Art School, Lemieux went to New York in 1980, where she first served David Salle (b.1952) in his studio. With the support of scholarships Annette Lemieux was finally able to increasingly focus on her own artistic career that eventually began around 1984. Her artistic output is not focused on certain media and techniques, but includes painting and photography as well as sculpture and installation. Parallel to her personal artistic activities, Annette Lemieux has always been engaged in teaching positions. Today, she is thus not only an internationally successful artist, whose works are on display, for instance, at the Solomon R Guggenheim Museum or the MoMA, but she is also a well-known professor in the Arts. Annette Lemieux lives and works in Brooklyn, Massachusetts, and currently teaches at Harvard University. (cbo) Shipping costs excl. statutory VAT and plus 2,5% (+VAT) shipping insurance.
