    Paul Lipp (1937–). Desk with chair by a window. Oil on board. Connecticut, 20th century. Contemporary frame in complimentary colors. Lipp is a New Haven, Connecticut artist who taught at Paier Art School and was a pupil of Ken Davies.  Overall: H 15-1/4" W 13". Sight: H 9-1/2" W 7-1/2". Condition: No imperfections or damage noted.     Paul Lipp, American, b.1937, Still Life with Apple,O/B, signed lower left. Biography: Paul Lipp is a Connecticut oil painter in the classic realist tradition. His still life compositions are masterful and detailed with elements of trompe l’oeil. Paul taught art for 18 years while pursuing his own fine art skills and accepting private commissions from such leading publications as Golf Digest and PGA magazine. He has exhibited his work in major shows at the Connecticut Academy, Springfield Museum, Mystic Maritime Gallery, Quinnipiac University and the Lyme Art Association, to name a few. He has received awards from the National Society of Illustrators, the Benedictine Fine Arts Competition and the Mount Carmel Art Association.Corporate clients include Bunker Ramo, Connecticut Distributors, Merrill Lynch, Conoco, Alberta Gas, Olin, IBM, Microdot, American Tobacco, Exxon, Pfizer and Pitney Bowes.
