    wood - 15x35x45 cm - 2016 - Born in 1966 in Olsztyn. Ryszard Litwiniuk studied at the Secondary School of Arts in Poland as well as the Academy of Fine Arts where he received his Master's Degree in Fine Arts. He has exhibited both nationally and internationally in Canada and in Poland. The winner of Second Prize at the Bienal Internacional de Escultura in Argentina, among many other awards of distinction Litwiniuk is a sculptor for whom nature is the force and source out of which built structures grow. Litwiniuk ingeniously relocates nature. His animated, almost cartoon-like sculptures look like insects or small woodland creatures. The wood structures that emerge out of the body of the tree appear as if they have adapted to a specific habit. His art and sculpture can be found in diverse collections in Austria, Canada, Germany, Ukraine, Denmark, the United States, Italy, Sweden, France, Argentina, and Poland.
