Note: This work has been requested for an exhibition of Irish Interior arranged by Boston College and to be held in 2012.

Provenance: De Veres, Dublin, 16 November, 1999, lot 134; Private collection Frances Livesay is recorded as having painted from addresses in both the Isle of Wight and Scotland. Her family had Irish connections from Cromwellian times and at one time resided at Rosturk Castle, Co Mayo. Livesay's Irish interior watercolours are recorded in Claudia Kinmonth's, Irish Rural Interiors in Art.

Provenance: De Vere's, Dublin, 16 November, 1999, lot 134; Private collection Frances Livesay was a genre and landscape artist who is recorded as having painted from addresses in both the Isle of Wight and Scotland. Her family had Irish connections from Cromwellian times and at one time resided at Rosturk Castle, Co Mayo. Livesay's Irish interior watercolours are recorded in Claudia Kinmonth's, Irish Rural Interiors in Art and provide rare and detailed insights into dwelling in Co Mayo circa 1870s.
