Provenance: De Veres, Dublin, 16 November, 1999, lot 134; Private collection Frances Livesay is recorded as having painted from addresses in both the Isle of Wight and Scotland. Her family had Irish connections from Cromwellian times and at one time resided at Rosturk Castle, Co Mayo. Livesay's Irish interior watercolours are recorded in Claudia Kinmonth's, Irish Rural Interiors in Art.
