Loiseau-Bailly for the Société des Amis de la Médaille française [issued 1904], team of ironworkers in a metal-works at Guérigny hammer links for a chain, rev . two protectively-masked ironworkers working a bellows and a hammer forge, edge impressed argent 91 and cornucopia, 80 x 50mm, 128.09g (Maier 22; ANS Exh. Cat. 1910, p.309, 23; Coll. R. Marx 112; BDM III, 456; cf . MDC 14, 799; cf . DNW 188, 819). Extremely fine and very rare; the last-numbered plaque of the issue £600-£800 --- Provenance: Bt A.C. Eimer. Edition of 91 in silver. Contemporary accounts suggest that the artist based the design on the a metal-works at Guérigny (dép. HAUT. 37 CM • 14 5/8 IN. €1,500-2,500 Élève de Dumont à l'École nationale des Beaux-Arts, Loiseau-Bailly débute au Salon en 1879 et présente des bustes, objets d'art et statues régulièrement jusqu'en 1913. Le groupe en bronze Amor est exposé au Salon de 1893 (n°3111).
